**TL;DR:** Alvys and Roadmark are more alike than most TMSs: neither charges per user, both run trucks and brokerage in one system, both cover IFTA and maintenance, and both put AI agents under human control. Alvys publishes per-load plans with a free trial; Roadmark can start beside an existing TMS one job at a time, covers every mode on one load record, and plans fuel stops from ELD tank levels.

## Roadmark and Alvys, row by row.

Each cell says what the product does, not only whether it does it. The sources are listed at the foot of the page.

| | Alvys | Roadmark |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Who it's for | Carriers, brokers, hybrid carrier-brokers and private fleets; since August 2026, owner-operators and small fleets too. | Asset carriers, freight brokers and groups of companies. |
| How routine work gets done | Entered in Alvys, with AI load creation on every plan and Foundry agents for teams in its rollout. | Quotes, plans, updates and invoices are drafted for a person to approve, with the numbers and rule behind each. |
| AI agents | Alvys Foundry, shown to a first customer group in June 2026 and launched in August, with a waitlist for the next group: more than 20 agent templates, agents you build, or agents built by Alvys. | Seven agents, from the inbox to compliance. Your developers can build more on the same rules. |
| Control over agents | Agent Shield logs agent activity, traces decisions and routes high-impact ones to a person before they run. | Every agent starts at Draft and earns autonomy lane by lane, within dollar limits and holds. One switch pauses them all. |

## Roadmark is the better choice if

- You want to keep McLeod, TMW or TruckMate for now and start with one job in a new system, such as quoting or tracking, while orders still land in your current TMS.
- You move freight beyond trucking, such as rail, air or ocean, and want it on the same load record.
- Fuel is one of your biggest costs: Roadmark plans fuel stops from ELD tank levels and enforces them through fuel cards, beside IFTA reports and truck and trailer maintenance.
- You want every draft to show the numbers and the rule behind it, and to decide lane by lane when an agent may act on its own.
- Your team wants to ask about loads from Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot, including drafting a quote from the chat.

## Alvys is the better choice if

- You want agents built around your own workflows without in-house developers: Alvys Foundry has more than 20 agent templates, lets operators assemble agents themselves, and has Alvys engineers build and tune custom ones. It opened in August 2026, with a waitlist for its next customer group.
- You're moving off Optym's LoadOps: Alvys announced on September 23, 2026 that it is taking on the LoadOps customer base, with dedicated onboarding for each customer.

## Who each one is for

Alvys is a TMS for carriers, brokers, hybrid carrier-brokers and private fleets, founded in 2020. In August 2026 it opened its TMS to owner-operators and small fleets, and it offers a 14-day free trial on its entry plan.

Roadmark is a TMS with AI agents that price quotes, plan trucks and prepare invoices for your team to approve, built for asset carriers, freight brokers and groups of companies.

## Where they're alike

Of the TMSs we compare, Alvys is the closest to Roadmark, and it's worth saying so plainly.

- Roadmark starts from $499 USD/month with unlimited users. Start with one workflow beside your current TMS and confirm the setup and price with our team.
- **Several companies.** Alvys includes subsidiaries by plan, with unlimited subsidiaries on its Scale plan. Roadmark runs a [group's companies and divisions](https://roadmark.ai/groups) in one system with separate books.
- **Agents under control.** Alvys's Agent Shield logs what agents do and routes high-impact decisions to a person. Roadmark's agents draft for approval and earn autonomy lane by lane.
- **Trucks and brokerage.** Both run owned trucks and brokered freight in one system.
- **The fleet back office.** Both produce IFTA reports and keep equipment maintenance records; Alvys sells maintenance as an add-on.
- **MCP.** Both offer an MCP connection for AI assistants. Alvys's is in beta, on request, with read tools only for now.

## Where they differ

**Starting point.** Alvys is the TMS you move onto. Roadmark is built to [run beside McLeod, TMW or TruckMate](https://roadmark.ai/switching) first: one job, usually quoting or tracking, while booked orders still land in your current TMS and status comes back. You move the rest a company, division or lane at a time, or never.

**How agents fit the work.** Alvys Foundry lets a team build its own agents, start from more than 20 templates, or have Alvys build them, beginning with work like check calls, detention, document intake and load building. It opened in August 2026, with a waitlist for its next customer group. Roadmark ships seven agents, one per job from the inbox to compliance, each drafting the record itself and showing the numbers and rule behind the draft. Your developers can add agents on the same rules.

**Carrier and brokerage.** Alvys runs fleet and brokerage in one system and moves loads between them in a few clicks. Roadmark does too, and can also run them as sister companies with separate books, priced at the group's internal rate, with the margin counted once.

**Fuel.** Alvys imports fuel card transactions and deductions. Roadmark also plans each fuel stop from the truck's ELD tank level and enforces it through the fuel card.

**Where it runs.** Confirm hosting regions and deployment options with Roadmark before contracting.

**Modes.** Alvys describes trucking for carriers and brokers, and highlights US–Mexico cross-border. Roadmark describes truckload through LTL, drayage, intermodal, rail, air and ocean on one record.

## How we compared

Every comparison on this site is written the same way, so you can check it.

- **Their own words:** Facts about the other product come from its public documentation, pricing and release notes, listed under Sources.
- **What it does, not a score:** Each row says what the product does for a carrier, broker or group, not a number out of ten.
- **Both sides:** Every page also says when the other product is the better choice.
- **Dated and corrected:** The review date moves only when every row has been checked again. If something is out of date, tell us.

## Questions about Roadmark and Alvys

### How are Alvys and Roadmark alike?

More than most TMSs. Neither charges per user. Both run trucks and brokerage, and several companies, in one system. Both have AI agents that send important decisions to a person, and both offer an MCP connection for AI assistants. The differences are in how you adopt them, what they cover, and where they run.

### How does Roadmark's pricing compare?

Roadmark starts from $499 USD/month with unlimited users. Start with one workflow beside your current TMS and confirm the setup and price with our team. Compare the required workflows, integrations and implementation scope when evaluating other vendors.

### Can Roadmark run beside Alvys?

Yes. Alvys publishes a public API: read access on its Foundations and Growth plans, and write access on Scale or as an add-on to Growth, according to its pricing page. Roadmark runs beside Alvys through it, one job at a time: booked orders go to Alvys with the stops, rate and references on them, which takes write access, and status comes back.

### We run a fleet and a brokerage. Which fits?

Both handle it, in different ways. Alvys runs fleet and brokerage in one system and moves a load between them in a few clicks. Roadmark runs trucks and brokered freight in one system too, and can also set them up as sister companies with their own books: one sells the load, the other hauls it at the group's internal rate, and group reporting counts the margin once.
