# Know every customer by their lanes, and price the next one right.

> Freight quoting software and CRM built around lanes, not deals: price from contract, history and the market, run a 40-lane RFQ, and see why you win or lose.

Roadmark keeps the customer record around what they actually ship: lanes, volume, contract terms and margin, not a generic pipeline of deals. Every quote is priced from that history, and every loss is logged with why.

## A customer page built around the lanes they ship.

Open a customer and see what they actually ship: which lanes, how much a month, what the contract says and when it renews, how often you win their quotes, and where the margin is heading. Every rep sees the same page.

## Where a price comes from.

A quote isn't a guess. Roadmark starts from the contract if one applies, checks what this lane has actually cost over the last 90 days, what carriers were paid, and where the market sits today, then adds fuel and accessorials before the margin.

Example, Q-21030 (Prairie Foods · Mississauga ON → Chicago IL):

- **Contract rate:** $3,560.00
- **Fuel surcharge, current table:** $560.00
- **Accessorials:** $0.00
- **Quote total:** $4,120.00 USD
- **Estimated margin:** $330.00 · 8.0%, below the 15% target
- **Lane history, last 90 days:** Median $4,200.00 · range $3,980.00–$4,450.00
- **What carriers were paid, 90-day average:** $3,230.00 linehaul + $560.00 fuel
- **Market rate:** $4,240.00 average, dry van ON–IL
- **Target margin:** 15% ($618.00 on this quote)

This quote sits at the contract rate, near the middle of the 90-day range and just below the market average. The margin is thin only because carrier cost has moved and the contract hasn't.

## A 40-lane RFQ, priced and ready for a rep to review.

Lakeshore Grocers sent their annual network RFQ as a spreadsheet: 40 lanes across two DCs. The Quoting agent priced what it could from history and the market, left the rest for a rep, and the draft waited for approval before anything went back.

- **Lanes awarded when the RFQ closed:** 14 of 40
- **Annual volume awarded:** 3,180 loads/yr
- **Blended margin on the award:** 13.6%

## Every lost quote is logged with the reason.

A quote that doesn't win still tells you something. Roadmark asks for a reason before it closes a lost quote, so the pattern shows up instead of disappearing.

**You lose on Hamilton → Columbus by about $140.00.** Carrier cost has climbed on that lane since July while the quoted rate hasn't moved with it.

## New customers, tracked by stage.

Prospects move through the same lanes-first view as an existing customer, with expected volume attached from the first conversation.

## What sales teams ask about quoting.

### Can Roadmark quote from emails?

Yes. Requests that arrive by email, through the customer portal, by EDI or as an RFQ spreadsheet are read, matched to the customer and its lanes, and priced into a draft. A rep approves, edits or rejects the draft before anything goes back to the customer.

### Where does a quoted price come from?

From the customer's contract if one applies, what the lane has cost over the last 90 days, what carriers were paid, and where the market sits today. Fuel and accessorials are added before the margin, and the reasons are shown with the price so a rep can check them.

### Can Roadmark price a multi-lane RFQ?

Yes. The Quoting agent prices each lane it can from history and the market, marks lanes below your floor as no bid, and sets aside lanes you've never run for a rep. The whole bid waits for approval before it goes back.

### Does Roadmark track why we lose quotes?

Yes. Roadmark asks for a reason, such as price, transit time or capacity, before it closes a lost quote. Over time that shows where you're priced too high and where you're leaving money behind.

### What does a customer record show?

The lanes they ship and how much each month, what the contract says and when it renews, open quotes, win rate and where the margin is heading, alongside their contacts and recent emails. Every rep sees the same page.

### Does it work alongside Salesforce or HubSpot?

Yes. Roadmark can run beside your current CRM, with Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho accounts and opportunities linked to their loads. Inside Roadmark, prospects are tracked by stage, with expected volume attached from the first conversation.
