# Reefer TMS that keeps the temperature record.

> Reefer TMS that reads unit temperatures and alerts, keeps each load's temperature record with its POD, holds FSMA sanitary records and plans multi-temp loads.

Roadmark reads the reefer unit's temperature, set point and out-of-range alerts on every load, and keeps the whole trip's record with the load and its POD. Pre-cooling, washouts and each trailer's history are kept for FSMA, reefer fuel is counted apart from the tractor's, and multi-temp loads are planned zone by zone.

## An excursion caught at the border, not found at the dock.

Roadmark reads the reefer unit's telematics for the whole trip: the temperature, the set point and the unit's out-of-range alerts. When a reading leaves the shipper's range, the load shows it straight away and the Tracking agent drafts the update to the customer for a person to send.

- **The range is the shipper's.** Set point and limits come from the shipper's written spec on the load, not a default.
- **The recovery is on record too.** Every reading stays with the load, so the record shows how long it was out and when it came back.

## The FSMA records, kept with the trailer and the load.

Under FSMA's Sanitary Transportation rule, a carrier responsible for temperature control pre-cools to the shipper's specification and, when asked, shows that the temperature held. Roadmark keeps each piece with the load: the shipper's set point, the pre-cool, the washout before loading and the trailer's history.

## Two temperatures in one trailer, planned zone by zone.

For a multi-temp load, Roadmark plans each zone on its own: which pallets ride frozen and which chilled, how many rows each zone needs, where the bulkhead goes and each zone's set point. The Planning agent drafts the plan and a dispatcher approves it.

## Reefer fuel, counted apart from the tractor's.

The reefer unit burns diesel for as long as it runs, loaded or not. Roadmark tracks it separately from the tractor's fuel, so each load carries its own reefer fuel and the tractor's figures aren't mixed with the unit's.

- **Per load.** A long pre-cool or a wait at the dock shows up on the load where it happened.
- **Road fuel stays road fuel.** The tractor's fuel, which IFTA reporting works from, is kept apart from the unit's.

## Questions about reefer loads.

- **Does Roadmark read reefer temperatures?** Yes. Roadmark reads the reefer unit's telematics on each load: the temperature, the set point and the unit's out-of-range alerts. The readings are kept as a continuous record on the load, and an out-of-range reading shows on the load as it happens.
- **Can I prove the temperature for a claim?** Yes. The load's temperature record, every reading from loading to delivery against the set point, is attached to the load and its POD, so you can show a customer or an insurer the whole trip rather than one reading at the dock.
- **Does it keep FSMA sanitary transportation records?** Yes. Roadmark keeps the records a reefer carrier is asked for under FSMA's Sanitary Transportation rule: the shipper's set point, the pre-cool before loading, washouts and each trailer's history, alongside the load's temperature record.
- **How are multi-temp loads planned?** Zone by zone. Roadmark assigns each pallet to the zone its product needs, sizes each zone in rows, places the bulkhead and gives each zone its own set point. The Planning agent drafts the plan for a dispatcher to approve.
- **Is reefer fuel tracked separately?** Yes. Reefer fuel is tracked apart from the tractor's, so each load carries its own reefer fuel and the tractor's fuel figures, including the ones IFTA reporting uses, aren't mixed with the unit's.
