An owner asks about a customer's quarter and drafts a renewal, with Roadmark connected to an AI assistant

How did Northgate Home do for us this quarter compared with last?

Read loads and invoices in Roadmark

Northgate Home shipped 118 loads this quarter, up from 94. Revenue was $271,480.00 at a 15.9% margin, down from 17.4%.

Most of the drop is Hamilton to Columbus, where carrier cost rose $190.00 a load since July and our rate stayed the same. Their contract renews on Oct 31.

Draft a renewal with Columbus up 6% and everything else flat.

Drafted a rate agreement in Roadmark

Done. The draft renewal is waiting in Roadmark for your approval. Nothing has been sent to Northgate.

How it connects, in plain words.

Roadmark plugs into your AI assistant the way a printer plugs into a computer: through a standard connection both sides already understand. Your data stays in Roadmark, and the assistant asks for what it needs, one question at a time.
How Roadmark connects to Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini: your team asks, the Roadmark connector checks who is asking, and the answer comes from your freight in Roadmark

Your team asks in plain words

"Which loads are late?" "Price this RFQ." In Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.

The Roadmark connector (MCP)

Checks who is asking

It signs in as that person, so the assistant gets exactly their access: their companies and customers, nothing else.

Your freight in Roadmark

Loads, quotes, customers, carriers and invoices. Anything the assistant prepares lands here as a draft for approval.

What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is the open standard AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini use to connect to business software. Roadmark's connector is built in, so there's nothing for you to build, and any assistant that supports MCP can use it.
Does Roadmark send all our data to the AI?
No. The assistant only receives what a question needs, and only what the person asking is allowed to see. Everything else stays in Roadmark.

What your team will ask it.

Anything they could find in Roadmark, asked in their own words, and a lot they couldn't find without a report and an afternoon.
  • Dispatch

    • Which loads picking up tomorrow still have no truck?
    • Who has the hours to take 48230 if R. Diaz can't?
    • What's holding the Waukegan load at the dock?
  • Sales

    • Which customers shipped less this month than usual?
    • Price this RFQ from our lane history.
    • Why did we lose the last five Northgate quotes?
  • Finance

    • What's over 45 days unpaid, by customer?
    • Which carrier bills don't match their rate con?
    • How much detention did we bill in September?
  • Owners

    • Compare margin across our three companies this quarter.
    • Which lanes lost money after fuel?
    • How many loads did Keel Transport haul for Ashgrove Logistics, and at what rate?

From question to work

It can do the work. Your team still approves it.

Ask it to price an RFQ, draft a renewal or build a load from an email, and the result lands in Roadmark as a draft, with the reasons, in the same place your team approves everything else.

  • Drafts, not surprises. Nothing reaches a customer, carrier or driver from a chat until someone approves it in Roadmark.
  • Roadmark’s specialized agents do the work. A price asked for in Claude is the same price the Quoting agent would give, from the same contracts and history.

Control

The same rules as the app, on every question.

The assistant signs in as the person using it. It sees what they can see in Roadmark, for the companies they work in, and nothing else. Admins decide how far it can go.

  • Every action is on the record, with the person, the assistant and the time.
  • Turn it off for a person, a team or a company at any time, from Roadmark.

Questions

What IT and owners ask first.

Does our freight data train the AI models?

Roadmark sends the assistant only what a question needs, and only what that person may see. Whether a provider keeps or learns from conversations depends on your plan with that provider, so your admin can check its terms before switching Roadmark on.

Can the assistant send anything to a customer or carrier?

Only if your admin has chosen "Act within your rules", and only what your Roadmark agents may already send on their own for that lane or customer. Otherwise everything it prepares waits in Roadmark for a person.

We run several companies. Can it see all of them?

It sees the companies the person asking works in. An owner with group access can compare companies; a dispatcher at one company sees only that company.

Do we need Roadmark as our TMS to use this?

No. If Roadmark runs beside McLeod, TMW or TruckMate, the assistant can read what Roadmark receives from them: loads, status, stops and documents.

Which AI assistants can I connect?

Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini have individual setup guides here. Microsoft Copilot and other compatible assistants connect through MCP. The Roadmark AI Assistant works directly inside your workspace; specialized agents prepare work such as quotes, plans and updates.

Can we build our own tools on it?

Yes. The same MCP server and the Roadmark API are open to your developers, with the same sign-in and the same limits.

Ask it about your own freight.

We'll connect Roadmark to a week of your loads and let your team ask it anything in the call.
