Yes. Demurrage runs on a container sitting at the terminal or ramp, detention runs on the box once it's out with a trucker, and Roadmark prices both per container, every day past the last free day.
How is ocean freight billed and margin tracked?
The customer gets one house bill invoice, while Roadmark keeps what's paid to the ocean carrier and the drayage carrier underneath it, so margin is never a guess at month end.
Can I track a container from sailing to the inland ramp?
Yes. Each leg, sailing, transshipment, discharge and rail, shows its own status, from the original sailing to availability at the inland ramp and its last free day. Discharge, availability, holds and the last free day come in automatically from the terminals and railroads.
