Cross-border trucking software

Every border document ready before the truck reaches the bridge.

Roadmark builds the PARS or PAPS number, the ACE or ACI eManifest data and the commercial invoice packet from the load itself, and sends them to your customs broker for filing. Nobody re-types a load into a separate border system.

The whole border checklist for one load, on one screen.

For a US-bound load, Roadmark builds the PAPS number and eManifest data as soon as the load is booked, and tracks everything else a driver needs to actually cross: broker sign-off, current documents, the seal, and the plates on the manifest.

The broker packet

Your customs broker gets a complete packet, ready to file.

Filing a customs entry is a licensed customs broker's job, not ours. Roadmark drafts the packet a broker needs to file it (the PARS or PAPS number, the commercial invoice, shipper and consignee, pieces and weight) from the load itself, and a person approves it before it's sent.

  • The commercial invoice comes from the shipper, not the freight bill; Roadmark attaches it to the right load.
  • Nothing is filed with CBP or CBSA from Roadmark. Your broker's own system does that, with what we send it.

The plan picks the crossing. A person can always move it.

Every crossing connects to a different set of destinations and carries its own typical wait. For load 48213, Roadmark picked the Blue Water Bridge: it puts the truck on I-94 toward Joliet directly, and R. Diaz's hours cover it without a stop.

Cabotage and drivers

The plan won't offer a move that puts a driver's authority in question.

A Canadian carrier generally can't pick up and deliver freight entirely within the US on its own authority. Roadmark treats a fully domestic US backhaul as a flag, not a default, and looks for a load that crosses the border instead. Document expiries are tracked the same way as any other compliance date.

  • This isn't legal advice. The flag points a dispatcher at the question; your compliance rules decide the answer.

One load, billed in USD, paid in CAD.

The customer is invoiced in the currency their contract sets. The driver is paid in the currency they run under. Roadmark keeps both views of the same load, converted at the rate used that day.

Questions

Questions before the load crosses.

Does Roadmark file customs entries directly?

No. Filing a customs entry is a licensed customs broker's job. Roadmark drafts the packet a broker needs to file it, the PARS or PAPS number, the commercial invoice, shipper and consignee, pieces and weight, from the load itself, and a person approves it before it's sent; nothing is filed with CBP or CBSA from Roadmark.

How does Roadmark build the PARS or PAPS number and eManifest?

As soon as a US-bound load is booked, Roadmark builds the PAPS or PARS number and the ACE or ACI eManifest data from the load, and tracks broker sign-off, current documents, the seal and the plates on the manifest so everything is ready by the bridge.

How does Roadmark choose which border crossing to use?

It picks the crossing that best matches the destination and its typical wait, such as the Blue Water Bridge for I-94 traffic to Chicago and Joliet, though a person can always move the load to a different crossing.

Does Roadmark flag cabotage risk?

Yes. A fully domestic US backhaul for a Canadian carrier is treated as a flag, not a default, so planning looks for a load that crosses the border instead. This isn't legal advice: the flag points a dispatcher at the question, and your own compliance rules decide the answer.

How does Roadmark handle billing across two currencies?

It keeps both views of the same load, the customer invoiced in the currency their contract sets, the driver paid in the currency they run under, converted at the rate used that day.

Thirteen modes, one platform.

Every mode runs on the same customers, loads and invoices, so a company that runs more than one sees them together.
