Trimble TMW integration: run Roadmark beside TMW
Run quoting or tracking in Roadmark while dispatch stays in TMW. Booked orders go to TMW; dispatch, status, stops, POD and costs come back.
The short answer
Trimble TMW and Roadmark, in short.

Setting up Trimble TMW
1Connect TMW
An admin authorizes Roadmark to work with TMW, and we do the setup with you.
2Map your fields
We import your customers, carriers, lanes and rates, and go through how your TMW fields map to Roadmark's together, before anything goes live.
3Choose what syncs
Orders out to TMW; dispatch, status, stops, POD and costs back. Turn on the job you're starting with, usually quoting or tracking.
4Test with a real load
Book one order in Roadmark, check that it lands in TMW with its stops, rate and references and that its status comes back, then turn it on for everything.
Before you start
- An admin who can authorize the connection to TMW.
- Time from your IT team, in case the connection needs it.
- The job you'll run in Roadmark first, usually quoting or tracking.
What running beside TMW means
Roadmark takes on one job, usually quoting or tracking, and TMW keeps the rest. When an order is booked in Roadmark, it goes to TMW with the stops, rate and references on it, so dispatch sees it where they always have. As the load moves, Roadmark reads dispatch, status, stops and POD back from TMW, along with costs, and uses them for tracking, ETAs and the invoice.
Nothing is typed twice: nobody re-keys an order from one system into the other, and dispatchers keep working where they work today.
What moves, and what stays in TMW
While Roadmark runs one job, everything else carries on in TMW. You choose what moves next, and when.
Your ELD, your books and EDI with your customers stay connected either way.
Example: Ashgrove Freight, off TMW in stages
The Ashgrove Transportation Group is the example group used across this site. Its carrier, Ashgrove Freight, runs 140 trucks and started with every job in TMW: quoting, tracking, planning and dispatch, and billing and settlements.
It didn't move them all at once. By Month 4, Ashgrove Freight's tracking and its planning and dispatch ran in Roadmark, while quoting and billing stayed in TMW. By Month 12 it was off TMW. Its divisions, Northline Cartage and Ashgrove Dedicated, bill under Ashgrove Freight, so they moved with it.
The group's brokerage, Ashgrove Logistics, was on McLeod at the same time, and moved on its own schedule. Several companies on different systems is fine: each one connects on its own.
Moving off TMW, when you choose
When a company is ready, it moves one job, division or lane at a time, or never. Its TMW history stays readable after a job moves, so last year's loads are still there to look up.

Questions about Trimble TMW and Roadmark
Do we have to leave TMW to use Roadmark?
No. Most companies start by running one job in Roadmark beside TMW, usually quoting or tracking, and move the rest over on their own schedule: a company, division or lane at a time, or never.
What goes to TMW, and what comes back?
Each booked order goes to TMW with its stops, rate and references on it. Dispatch, status, stops, POD and costs come back, and Roadmark uses them for tracking and invoices.
Does dispatch change for our team?
No. Orders still land in TMW, so dispatchers keep working where they work today, and driver settlements run in TMW as they do now. Nothing is typed twice.
One of our companies is on TMW and another on McLeod. Can they move separately?
Yes. Each company connects on its own, and each can run on Roadmark or stay on its own TMS. In the example group on this site, Ashgrove Freight ran on TMW and Ashgrove Logistics on McLeod, and each moved on its own schedule.
What does running beside TMW cost?
You pay for the jobs you switch on in Roadmark, at the companies they cover. Jobs that keep running in TMW cost nothing in Roadmark, and there's no per-user fee.
